to develop skills and strategies that
support successful learning in regular
education language arts, social studies,
science and related subjects. |
| Students
participant in classes or individual
sessions and focus on organizing their
binders, lockers and assignments.
Each teachers style and expectations,
especially rubrics, are discussed.
Students practice guided highlighting
and annotations, outlining and summarizing
key concepts, and extended response.
Quizzes, tests and assignments are
reviewed for competence and utilization
of strategies. |

students in the areas of language
arts, organizational skills and the

strategies.Our highly motivated staff encourages
students to enjoy learning in a fun and
productive environment. |

Youth in grades 3-12
and their parents are welcome to drop by,
see the center and complete a schedule request
form. Classes are generally held between
the hours of 4-8 p.m. and on Saturdays.
All students that need an extra boost with
guidance from experienced professionals
are encouraged to participate.
Classes are offered in 3 sections:
1) 3rd-5th graders
2) 6th-8th graders
3) high schoolers |
Writing Class
With this class, it is our hope to
create confident, organized and thoughtful
writers. The class will go through the steps
of the writing process; including brainstorming,
organizing, drafting and editing. The children
will also learn tips that will help the,
conquer any difficult writing assignment.
It is also important to us that the students
have time to discuss writing assignments
they have from their teachers.
Organizational Skills Class
Here, students will learn the importance
of staying organized at school and at home
with doing work. It is important for all
students to find the process that works
best for him/her. With our help your child
will find a method for organizing his/her
desk, locker, backpack, notebook and notes.
This class will also focus on time management
and prioritization of work. |
